Kingston-upon-Thames, UK, 3 May 2011: On May 1st EML and Wildfire PR merged to create one of the largest independent technology PR agencies in the UK. The new global tech PR agency, EML Wildfire, combines the two agencies’ complementary service offerings, skill-sets and tech sector knowledge and has a projected fee income of £2 million per annum.
The new agency represents a dynamic new force in tech PR, with a compelling offering, encompassing consumer and b2b PR and marketing expertise, social media skills and global market reach, across an even broader and deeper global technology landscape.
EML Wildfire’s service offering is designed to create measurable success in the digital age for b2b and consumer technology brands of all sizes from start-ups to multi-nationals; the agency will offer an integrated approach to campaigns designed to build market authority, engage target audiences and create sales opportunities across multiple channels.
“Our discussions began last summer and the more we talked the more it made sense,” commented Richard Parker, managing director of EML Wildfire. “The benefits for clients and our staff became so compelling that we would have been mad not to do it. The merger means that we are a more comprehensive agency, with a broader service portfolio, helping us to meet the evolving needs of an expanding client roster in the digital era.”
“This merger brings together two like-minded, successful, profitable, growing agencies with ambition to make a greater impact on the tech PR scene,” added Lorraine Jenkins, Wildfire PR’s founder and a director of EML Wildfire. “As the two teams have met and begun working together over the past few months it has become clear that it is a completely natural fit. The distinct capabilities and experiences of the two agencies dovetail perfectly, giving us a far more sophisticated offering to compete with higher profile competitors and build on the success we have achieved so far.”
Debby Penton and Lorraine Jenkins from Wildfire PR will join Richard Parker, David Marsden, Andrew Shephard and Paula Fifield of EML on the board of the new agency.
EML Wildfire is occupying extended offices on the upper floor at The Albany Boathouse in Kingston-upon-Thames, which will accommodate the expanded team of 28 people.
